Food Stamp Blues    based on a true story

I, CW wrote this song back in the early 80's. Times were hard because of a slight depression...alot of us were on the Food Stamp Program. Use to be a Black guy that lived on the Tennessee river around the Decatur Alabama area that was a bootlegger. Well if u had food stamps or a bucket with 3 large catfish in it he would trade you some beer for them.
But we did allright!
